Addy's hard day or Mommy's hard day

She really could not have done any better. She amazed me at how well she did. You can't tell she just had surgery. The picture that she was crying in the top left was only because she was hungry before surgery. She had to fast and babies don't like that yet. I am so so thankful for all the prayers that were said on her behalf. We are so blessed to have the gospel in our lives and I am extremely thankful for fasting and priesthood blessings. I am so thankful for a great Dr. and very impressed with technology today and happy this wasn't an open heart surgery. Back in the day that is what they would've done. Instead now things are done through cathders with balloons throught the upper thigh........AMAZING.

I love you Addy girl!!!!! To the moon and back baby.

The kids

Taking pictures before heading out. I tried to get that one perfect one, you know when each kid is looking straight at me with a huge smile. One of these days I'll get 'em.

Mesa Celebration....4th of July

We had such a great time in downtown Mesa. They had so much to do and we didn't even get to all of it, maybe it's because we stood in line for an hour and a half to get faces painted. It was worth it though. They turned out way adorable. I would do it again next year.

My little girl who is not so little anymore....graduated from her 1st year of preschool. She loved Miss Maren and the other Monkey's this year. She made and created so many special crafts that I adore. She would come home singing a new song all the time. Thank you Miss Maren for taking care and loving this little Monkey. We LOVE you!

Brody Graduated

Very proud of my youngest brother. He graduated from Mesa High last week. My kids tried hard to sit thru one of the longest graduatons ever. Check out Addy trying to get a swig just to stay awake.

Where were my money necklaces when I graduated?? My sister did dollar bills and I did $12 dollars in change. It was kinda heavy.

Camping over Memorial wknd

We went camping for the Memorial weekend. We had a good time with the Shumway family. Can't wait to do it again. Love letting my kids get as dirty as they want.
I'm sure next time I will have pictures of Addy sitting in the dirt getting dirty like the others.

Queen Nicole

I am a Queen!!
or so I was told on Saturday
For a Mothers Day gift to me from my mom was to spend a day with her at an all day crop and craft at the Scrapbook barn and it was all about being queens for the day and getting pampered with snacks, lunch and dinner...dinner was from Carraba's so it wasn't a cheep meal. They had make and takes and some classes to sign up to do something fun and I LOVE the class that we did and can't wait to make more things out of Beeswax.

Well before we went they gave us a crown to decorate and they were gonna have a contest. Everyone had to vote for there favorite crown. There were about 60 women there, not everyone did a crown but atleast that many voted.

I don't like to brag or pat my back at all ughhum ughhum but guess who came in first place??
Ummmm I totally WON!!
Here were some of the crowns displayed just to give you an idea of what others had done.

As lovely as it was to win, I couldn't stand the attention, I wanted to crawl under a rock and hide. I just get to dang shy and embarassed, but I walked away with a great bag full of scrapbooking goodies.

This is my mom's cute crown....gotta love the big boobs and the Garter belt strap.
Old Chicks Rule.......yes they do mom!

This was the craft we made in a class, it is way cool. You see these kinds of things all the time in fancy stores and they are just to expensive. It's pretty late so I don't want to explain all the steps to it right now but if you are interested ask me about it.These were the other crafts I made while we were just hanging out. Since I don't do regular scrapbooking anymore...just digital......I made these. They are gonna go in my kitchen.
This first one is just an old clipboard. This second one is one of those memory boxes, I still have to fill it in with stuff.
I had so much fun, we met some really fun ladies. We missed my sister Stephanie who was in Utah at WC and my brothers GF Shawny who couldn't make it. Thank You Thank You mom that was a great gift and a great day.
And this little one tries to be Queen around the house,
but
She is no Queen yet

But she definitely is a princess.
She told me she wants a crown too. I better get on that in all my free time....did I mention that I stayed up till Three in the morning, two nights in a row making this crown......its the only time my creative juices keep flowing.

Southwest Dinosaur Museum

How would it be to live in prehistoric days as a cave woman or man.........
how scary would it be with this face coming at you...........

or

these teeth getting ready to eat you?

I don't think Karsyn realized how big dinasaurs actually were.

Look at her face,

she was totally scared for awhile.
Buddy could you have put your hand anywhere else for this pose??
Karsyn and my mom playing behind some movie screen........
Mom why are you flashing gang signs??
Addy was glowing in the black light room,
I thought this was cute because she is smiling really big.
Thanks Grandma Goose preschool for inviting us to another exciting field trip we had fun and can't wait for the next one

Inmates

A Few weeks ago we had some inmates hanging around our house.......
a few times they were

But I locked them in pretty good

You have the juvenile

You have the innocent one
You have the tough guy
and you have a clown
Luckily they didn't escape because it would've been pretty boring around here. Thanks for coming to play with us guys.

Our little garden of flowers

Blossoming Blessings
Bloom where you are planted
Take time to smell the roses

We planted some flowers last weekend for our front entrance. I'm kind of embarrased to say that it was my first time planting. I did plant flowers at the temple once, that counts I guess, but not for our own home. I love getting out of my car and walking to the door now. I enjoyed doing it and I hope they don't die. It was fun to do with the kids. The only thing I hated about it, is we were surrounded by flies....ugh! I had Seth and Karsyn plant there own, Seth loved it and was all about it, Karsyn just woke up and didn't want to get her hands all dirty...typical girl. But Karsyn is the best at watering them, she loves that part.
Just woke up..remember.
I am in love with these little hands, holding on so tight to his flower.
I look soooo good, don't I? You should see the picture that Adam took of the back of me while I was sitting on the ground doing my flowers, those of you who are around us a lot knows that Adam should've been a plumber...well maybe I should be a plumber as well.
I will spare you the picture.
The final result.

I have told my kids not to pick them EVER, they have been really good not to touch them and then I found this quote today that made me feel a little bad
"To pick a flower is so much more satisfying than just observing it, or photographing it~~~So in later years, I have grown in my garden as many flowers as possible for children to pick."
Anne Scott-James
I am not in my later years yet, but someday I wouldn't mind having a huge garden of flowers for children to pick so they can give to there mommies, grandma's, or girlfriends. There is nothing more sweeter than your child bringing you home some flowers. You know in your heart that you are all they thought of when they picked it.
