Our little garden of flowers

Blossoming Blessings
Bloom where you are planted
Take time to smell the roses

We planted some flowers last weekend for our front entrance. I'm kind of embarrased to say that it was my first time planting. I did plant flowers at the temple once, that counts I guess, but not for our own home. I love getting out of my car and walking to the door now. I enjoyed doing it and I hope they don't die. It was fun to do with the kids. The only thing I hated about it, is we were surrounded by flies....ugh! I had Seth and Karsyn plant there own, Seth loved it and was all about it, Karsyn just woke up and didn't want to get her hands all dirty...typical girl. But Karsyn is the best at watering them, she loves that part.
Just woke up..remember.
I am in love with these little hands, holding on so tight to his flower.
I look soooo good, don't I? You should see the picture that Adam took of the back of me while I was sitting on the ground doing my flowers, those of you who are around us a lot knows that Adam should've been a plumber...well maybe I should be a plumber as well.
I will spare you the picture.
The final result.

I have told my kids not to pick them EVER, they have been really good not to touch them and then I found this quote today that made me feel a little bad
"To pick a flower is so much more satisfying than just observing it, or photographing it~~~So in later years, I have grown in my garden as many flowers as possible for children to pick."
Anne Scott-James
I am not in my later years yet, but someday I wouldn't mind having a huge garden of flowers for children to pick so they can give to there mommies, grandma's, or girlfriends. There is nothing more sweeter than your child bringing you home some flowers. You know in your heart that you are all they thought of when they picked it.

Easter Day

I know that we are a bit past Easter now, but here was our excitement!

Addy has no fancy basket yet, hopefully I will be on the ball next year.
The bunny still left her some goodies.

Seth and his big toy....the giant gumBALL machine.
This one has been fun for all.
It's funny how half the balls are missing now.

Karsyn got this fun desk with crayons, colored pencils, and markers. Markers were put away quickly, and most of the crayons are broken, and pencils are missing now.

Sometimes it's the cheapest things that are the favorites....like these two gifts.

This was the best gift ever for her and for me..........
We are Potty Trained and the thing that suprises me most
is that she has only had one accident in her pullups in the last two or three weeks. I knew this kid would get it once it just clicked.......3 attempts and the 3rd was a charm.

This litte lady slept through all the excitement that morning. She's thinking
"what easter bunny"

Karsyn the giggler

This was a long time ago, sometime when I was pregnant with Addy. I watched it earlier and it kind of made my day, so enjoy the giggles.

Heaven

A Happy Family is But an Earlier Heaven

I am so gosh darn lucky to have three beautiful and happy children and one hard working man who loves us dearly. They are my Heaven!! These 4 brighten my day everyday, even at the hardest times. Having three children so close together is not easy. I have cried many times in the last few months and it will probably continue for a little while....who am I kidding..ok the rest of my life, I am a Woman. I am starting to get the hang of 3...slowly...but it's coming along.

The other day some stranger out of the blue complimented me on doing a good job at handling 3 kids, It made my day because lately I get a lot of stares or the obvious"you really have your hands full" I do not go to many places with all three, can you imagine the chaos, one running here the other running there, the wee little one crying for food, who do you go after, when can you feed her. My life is a little chaotic, but I love it and I am thankful for it, and I wouldn't trade it.

Regarding the appt.

Addy's appointment went well, although the pressure gradiant number stayed the same. Didn't go up and didn't go down.
Until next month!

Thursday, April 1, 2010

OK a few people have inspired me to start blogging again. I have missed it and I have wanted to do it many times but then I start to think of all the things that have happened in the last few months that I wanted to post and I get overwhelmed. So I will just add picture updates here and there. The most important thing that has happened in our lives is our new addition...baby girl Shumway...... A.K.A. Adelynn Nicole Shumway or {Miss Addy Girl}

{Did I mention this was my hardest delivery}
I look lovely! ha
Why do women choose no drugs?????
I thought I was dying!

Isn' this a sweet picture.
She has been a sweet little girl since she has arrived.

Most everyone knows or has heard of her ♥Heart♥ condition
Pulminary Stenosis
A nurse discovered this when we were still in the hospital by doing the regular routine checks. The pediatrician checked her out and the follow up's began with a cardiologist. We have been seeing a Cardiologist, Dr. G., every few weeks now. I really like her Dr. he has a way of making me feel calm about this whole thing. As we have been doing these check ups the problem started getting worse and the last time we went in I was expecting him to tell me that we would be scheduling a catheder procedure for her.
With quite a bit of prayers and fasting from family and good friends her pulminary valve has started opening up on it's own..the pressure gradiant number went down..we were so thrilled to hear this, I completely believe in prayers and miracles, and I know that there is still a chance of surgery for her, but until then I know she is and will be blessed.

We seriously can't get enough of her. The kids adore her and try taking care of her as much as I let them. Seth is so sweet with her, he wants to protect her and it's the cutest thing to see when he just lays his cheek on her forhead and Karsyn is sort of a mommy figure to her, always wanting to take care of her and teach her things that Addy does not understand. Karsyn wants her to be big now. I can't wait for a couple of years to go by to see how these three interact with each other. By then we may have a fourth in the mix...haha!
Our plan is to wait 2 or 3 or maybe 4 years before anything else grows in this here belly.
My body needs a break and my patience needs to grow.
